Cleansing the Respiratory System is Imperative

The human body needs oxygen to survive and function properly. Unlike some of the other key supporters of life, the body cannot survive for long periods of time without oxygen. A body void of this vital component for only a few minutes can suffer severe health issues and even immediate death. We consume oxygen by way of breathing; once it enters the body it goes into the lungs, then our red blood cells collects it from the lungs and distributes it throughout the entire body.

Preserving the health of the respiratory system is very necessary due to its very important duty of processing oxygen. The respiratory system is made up of multiple components including the Sinuses, Nasal cavity, Pharynx, Larynx, Trachea, Bronchus, Lungs and Diaphragm.

When we inhale, oxygen is not the only thing we ingest; we also consume the impurities from our surroundings. This affects the health of the respiratory system and this is why it is imperative that we take extra measures to always cleanse it and remove these impurities. Purifying the respiratory system is not just an extra safety measure; it will resolve some of the most common, annoying and even vicious health problems people face, including Cancer, Asthma, Pneumonia, and Sinusitis.

There are many things in our environment that pollute the respiratory system, some of the common factors include: chemicals, dust, smoking (including marijuana), liquor fumes, oil fumes, tar fumes, fumes from vehicles, perfumes and more.

Below is a list of herbs that are very effective in removing mucus, toxic wastes and purifying the respiratory system:

Oregano
Oregano contains carvacrol and rosmarinic acid, they are natural decongestants and histamine that directly targets the nasal passage and respiratory tract.

Lungwort
The name implies its purpose. Lungwort leaf is commonly used to treat a variety of respiratory related issues, including bronchial detoxification, coughs, colds, chronic bronchitis, asthma and catarrhal problems.

Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus oil is probably the most common home remedy people use to ease congestion. It also helps to fight cough and also soothes irritated sinus passages.

Lobelia
This herb is very effective in improving breathing. It is so good that it is actually given to race horses to enhance their breathing and therefore improve their performance.  Lobelia is also commonly used to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, and cough.

Osha Root
Considered to be one of the best lung-support herbs in America.  Osha root increases blood circulation to the lungs. This herb also helps to remove mucus from the sinuses and lungs by increasing expectoration, which relieves the lungs of congestion.

Sea Moss
One of the main reasons why sea moss, also known as chondrus crispus, is so powerful is because it remedies the  two primary areas in the body where all health problems begin, the digestive tract and the respiratory tract. Sea moss is very effective in removing mucus from these parts of the body.
