How Melanin Influences Our Eyes and Vision

Melanin is what makes the eyes appear dark. The purpose of Melanin in the eyes (retina) is to absorb light and convert it to neural signals. It then sends these signals to the brain for visual recognition processing. There is a fundamental reason why there isn’t much talk about the function of Melanin in the eyes and internal organs as much as how they talk about the Melanin in the skin. Once you begin to examine the function of Melanin in these different areas of the body, it becomes clearer that Melanin serves a much more superior purpose than what many would like the general public to believe.

Melanin is designed to absorb ALL electromagnetic frequencies and sound waves, not just some. This is the primary purpose of Melanin in the eyes as well as the skin. The main difference between the Melanin in the skin and that which is in the eyes is how the information it receives gets transmitted to the brain. A person cannot see with their skin like how they are able to see with their eyes. However, you can feel the presence of someone staring at you and even hear their thought process, due to having active Melanin.

The dark lens of a camera works the same way as the pigmented layer of the eyes. The camera is an invention that was directly inspired by the function of Melanin in the eyes. This is why the lens is always dark, they know that any other color will reflect light and not absorb all spectrum. And therefore, consequently, the image quality produced by the camera will be inferior.

Melanin in the eyes determines visual acuity and sharpness and also controls the ability to process essential minerals that are necessary for vision.

In order for us to see is dependent on how much light is absorbed by the eyes. This is why we need bright light to see properly. The human eyes are able to see color based on the color that is being reflected from the object being looked at. For example, if an object is red, it means that red is the color being reflected from that object. Therefore, in order to perceive the full intensity of any color in its truest form the eyes has to be able to absorb the light being reflected without reflecting any of that light back. The dark Melaninated pigment of the eyes is what prevents this light from being reflected. And as a result, we are able to see colors in their truest form.
