Sometimes people overlook minor things that can have a major impact on their health and wellness. All is required is a little change. We are talking about those simple changes with great rewards. Here are a few tips to follow that are quite rewarding.
When cooking, use a wooden spoon instead of metal. Wooden spoons do not scrape the bottom of your pots and that is very important. Though it may not be immediately noticeable, but, whenever the metal spoons come in contact with your pot, the residue gets in your food. It is not good to consume metal. Furthermore, wood is more natural and more harmonious to the frequency of the body. You can use the metal spoons to share your food because it doesn’t involve a lot of stirring or direct contact with the pot.
There are three main types of cutting boards, those made from wood, bamboo, and plastic. The problem with plastic is that it is also a very toxic manmade material. Each time you use your plastic cutting board, you are releasing residues from the tiny microscopic flakes into your food. Over time of constant ingestion of this toxic material, it will begin to create health-related damages to your body.
The better choices for cutting boards are the wood and bamboo, simply because it is natural. That alone is good enough reason to use it.
Containers made from plastic are the most commonly used for storage. We all use them to store our food, let us not be hypocritical to this fact. However, not all plastic containers are the same, some are stronger than others. If you have to use plastic containers for storage, try using the ones with the more solid (harden) material. Additionally, to this, there are some important things to keep in mind while using plastic. Do not put hot or warm food in your plastic containers.
This will cause the chemicals from the plastic to seep into your food quite easily. Another pointer; we do not recommend the usage of microwaves, but, if you out somewhere and you have to use it, always refrain from using plastic. Using plastic and a microwave is a major “double negative”. The better option to use for storage and in the microwave is glass. Always use glass whenever you can in these cases.
Cooking Oil on High Heat
If you are using oil, avoid cooking it on high heat. Always cook on low or medium heat. Heat, in general, is not good for oil, it makes it toxic. A little low heat is not so bad, but blasting your fire on high heat is way beyond any point of discretion. This is also not good for your food; it damages the genetic structure and mineral content of your food.
