We are always taught that our food is our medicine… and rightfully so, we cannot deny this. Each time we are hungry, it creates a wonderful opportunity for us to feed our cells instead of just stuffing our stomach with junk. You should want to make the best of this opportunity by giving your body quality food. The health of each and every one of your cell is the determining factor that influences the health of your mind, body and spirit.
There are certain herbs/spices that I always include in my ingredients when cooking, simply because I want to have as much minerals in my food as possible. These following herbs/spices are special because they are common, very powerful and can be used without interfering with the dominant flavor of your food. Therefore it allows the opportunity to use them regardless of whatever dish you are preparing.
Below, is the list (random order) of the six herbs/spices and their health benefits.
Cilantro: Alzheimer’s, anti-fungal, antioxidants (more than most fruits and vegetables), arthritis, blood sugar, cancer, diabetes, heavy metal detoxifier (removes heavy metals from the body ), heart disease, inflammation, macular degeneration and much more.
Parsley: Anemia, antioxidants, asthma, blood vessels, cancer , colic, constipation, cough, detox, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, immune system, intestinal gas, jaundice, kidney stones, parasites, prostate conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, tumors, urinary tract infections and much more.
Rosemary: Anti-aging, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, cancer, circulation, digestive system, fresh breath, immune system, infections, liver detoxification, memory, migraine, mood elevator, pain relief, respiratory system and much more.
Turmeric: Anti-aging, alzheimer’s, anti-inflammatory, arthritis, cancer, heart disease, increasing dopamine levels, reduces depression, neutralize free radicals, metabolic disorders, skin damage and much more. Note: This spice can be very dominant (affects taste) depending on the amount used.
Cayenne pepper: Arthritic pain, blood clots, cancer, cardiovascular or heart problems, diabetes, digestive system, heartburn, hypertension, infections, migraines, nasal infections, psoriasis, removes plaque from the arteries, toothache and much more. Note: Cayenne pepper is very spicy (hot) but will not have that effect if used in small portions.
Sage: Aging, alzheimer’s, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-septic, anti-spasmodic, free radicals, kill bacteria, memory loss, relaxant, Sore-throat, Toner for oily skin and much more.
